2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth - Recovery Version
In learning to take care of God’s work, one basic lesson is to be absolute for the truth. No truth in the Bible should be entangled with man’s condition. Today man is not absolute toward the truth because he entangles the truth with his own condition. When man entangles the truth with his own condition, he feels that he cannot speak the truth if he has not experienced it. Yet we have to realize that it is not our experience which qualifies us to speak concerning a truth. Truth is absolute in itself. David said that all men speak vanity (Psa. 12:2). When he spoke this word, he was not considering himself. Before God, David considered himself as nonexistent. God’s servants cannot look inward into themselves. God’s truth is absolute; it is not involved with us in any way. Because the truth is absolute, we have to sacrifice ourselves and put ourselves aside.
We have to realize that the condition of an individual has nothing to do with God’s truth. If truth is affected by man, the truth is no longer the truth. If the truth is not something absolute for you, you do not know God, and you do not know God’s word.
What I am personally cannot affect what God’s truth is. We cannot say that a teaching is right simply because others are good to us, and we cannot consider the same teaching wrong simply because others are not good to us. Once the truth becomes affected by human factors, it is no longer the truth; it becomes something else. If the truth is not absolute in you, you cannot go on. The truth can never be controlled by man. I cannot say that something is right simply because you and I are from the same school or were born in the same place. So many problems in the world and so many disputes in teachings arise because of changes in human factors, not because of a change in the truth itself.
The Truth Being the Unique Standard
What does it mean to say that the truth is absolute? First Timothy speaks of the pillar of the truth(3:15).Why does it say the pillar of the truth? It is because a pillar is something immovable. It cannot go up or down. It is not like a chair that can be moved from one place to another. If we are not sober, the truth will not have any effect on us. The truth cannot be entrusted to a person who walks according to his feelings. This is a great test. A man must stand on the side of the truth to oppose himself. Only by this can he maintain the truth instead of himself. Those who have never been dealt with do not know what the truth is. Some people lower the truth a little when they are wrong, and lift up the truth a little when they are right. This means that they are like elevators. The truth goes up and down with them. Only those who have dealt with themselves are able to maintain the truth. Praise the Lord, He is the “elevator”; and we are going up and down with Him! (In contrast to with us. Where He is we should be too)

I am giving away a free korean language study study bible to those who contact me with interest in reading this wonderful gift to mankind.
Why? Well since I have been saved I have felt the Lord Jesus’ loving Grace freely given to me and hope that what has been poured into me would overflow into others. I have really enjoyed the English version of this bible and its extensive footnotes, references and charts are such a help and provide me with so much enjoyment of of the Life hidden in this wonderful Word. I know that many hungry seekers of the Lord would be richly supplied and hope that this word would be propagated throughout the earth.
Is this an individual effort? No, quite a few brothers and sisters here in Seoul and throughout Korea have consecrated themselves to the spreading of the Bible in Korean in both North and South Korea. Unfortunately in North Korea it is difficult to spread the bible freely so this will need much prayer. If there are any North Koreans who are seeking to read the bible and are located in China or other countries I would be happy to send you a copy also. Many of the brothers and sisters have set about distributing bibles however because of language(I only speak basic Korean) and time I am sending this way.
-I have a limited amount of bibles to give away so only one per household (and first come first served until they run out).
-The Bibles are only in Korean.
-The version is: Recovery Version
-Do NOT order for other people, but ask them to come to this web page and order for themselves.
-Yes, they are free but for international posting (outside Korea and China) I will need further fellowship.
-If you are not a native speaker of Korean please do not order but seek further fellowship about how to get an English version. In the USA I do believe this may be free as well.
-No, you don’t need to leave a lot of personal information but please do leave a phone number or email that I (or a Korean brother or sister) may contact you one time after you got your bible to check you received it okay.
-I will try my best to get it sent as soon as possible.
-Please pray for this.

Bible readers need to see that the bible is not just a book of good morals or doctrines, though it may touch on these matters. Primarily the bible is a book of Life. This is the first in many, many Life studies found on the Living Stream Ministry web page that touch on this matter. May all the Lord’s seekers enjoy this fellowship that goes beyond the surface of God’s word to bring out the deep riches within.

Jesus should not just be a small portion of our Life,
He should be all!
One question we should ask ourselves is are we too busy filling our being with outward things to really know the Lord in our Spirit within?
As the psalmist says:
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10
May we enjoy a day in His presence.
Taking Him as our all!

We are not only called to love our Lord when we are on top of the mountain but also in the valleys.
But remember, His love flows into our valleys, into all the stormy times there is a river that is divine flowing down the mountain from it’s source in the heavens. We are not alone in all these times, though it may seem that way often.

I was saved in 1920 at the age of seventeen. Before being saved I experienced some mental conflict concerning whether or not to accept the Lord Jesus as my Savior and whether or not to become the Lord’s servant. For most people, the problem at the time of salvation is how to be delivered from sin. But for me, being saved from sin and my life career were linked together. If I were to accept the Lord Jesus as my Savior, I would simultaneously accept Him as my Lord. He would deliver me not only from sin but also from the world. At that time I was afraid of being saved, for I knew that once I was saved I must serve the Lord. Of necessity, therefore, my salvation would be a dual salvation. It was impossible for me to set aside the Lord’s calling and to desire only salvation. I had to choose either to believe in the Lord and have a dual salvation or forfeit both. For me to accept the Lord would mean that both events would take place simultaneously.
FINAL DECISION
On the evening of April 29, 1920, I was alone in my room. I had no peace of mind. Whether I sat or reclined, I could find no rest, for within was this problem of whether or not I should believe in the Lord. My first inclination was not to believe in the Lord Jesus and not to be a Christian. However, that made me inwardly uneasy. There was a real struggle within me. Then I knelt down to pray. At first I had no words with which to pray. But eventually many sins came before me, and I realized that I was a sinner. I had never had such an experience in my life before that time. I saw myself as a sinner and I also saw the Savior. I saw the filthiness of sin and I also saw the efficacy of the Lord’s precious blood cleansing me and making me white as snow. I saw the Lord’s hands nailed to the cross, and at the same time I saw Him stretching forth His arms to welcome me, saying,
“I am here waiting to receive you.”
Overwhelmed by such love, I could not possibly reject it, and I decided to accept Him as my Savior. Previously, I had laughed at those who believed in the Lord, but that evening I could not laugh. Instead, I wept and confessed my sins, seeking the Lord’s forgiveness. After making my confession, the burden of sins was discharged, and I felt buoyant and full of inward joy and peace. This was the first time in my life that I knew I was a sinner. I prayed for the first time and had my first
experience of joy and peace. There might have been some joy and peace before, but the experience after my salvation was very real. Alone in my room that evening, I saw the light and lost all consciousness of my surroundings. I said to the Lord, “Lord, You have really been gracious to me.”
A testimony of Br. Watchman Nee who faithfully labored in the Lord.
